Zekai Aksakalli

Zekai Aksakalli was born in Erzurum. He was the Special Forces Commander from 2013 to 2017. He became a lieutenant general on July 28, 2016, with a supreme military council appointment. Later, he was appointed to Gelibolu Corps commander. After July 16 failed coup attempt, he ordered to set up torture rooms in Special Forces Department in Ankara. According to witness and victim statements, he is one of the torturers.
